DMOS Core Audit
Digital Ministry Operating System Core Audit
Get a clear snapshot of how effectively your church is using digital ministry to reach people, remove barriers, build relationships, and support real ministry movement.
The DMOS Core Audit is a 60-question diagnostic covering six essential areas of digital ministry. It is designed to help you identify strengths, uncover gaps, and see where your ministry may need greater clarity, consistency, or intentionality.
This is not a test of how advanced your technology is. DMOS measures how well your digital presence supports ministry.
The Six DMOS Objectives
-
Reach People: How effectively are you using digital channels to reach people beyond your current congregation?
-
Remove Barriers: How easy is it for someone to find information, understand what to expect, and take a next step?
-
Build Community: Are your digital spaces helping people move from simply viewing content toward connection and belonging?
-
Tell Stories: Are you communicating the real people, ministry moments, testimonies, and transformation happening in your church?
-
Equip Disciples: Are your digital tools helping people grow spiritually and continue engaging with ministry beyond a service?
-
Measure Kingdom Impact: Are you able to recognize whether digital activity is leading to meaningful ministry movement—not simply more views or followers?
How to Complete the Core Audit
Answer all 60 questions based on what your ministry is doing right now, not what you hope to implement later.
Choose the response that most accurately reflects your current practice. There are no perfect answers, and you do not need to overthink individual questions.
Use Don't Know when you genuinely do not know whether something is happening. Use Not Applicable only when the question truly does not apply to your ministry.
Your answers are saved as you work. At the end of each section, select Save & Continue to move to the next DMOS objective.
When the audit is complete, you will receive your overall DMOS health score, objective scores, strengths, priority areas, and recommended next step.

Are your church's primary online profiles current and visibly active?
When someone encounters your church through social media, search, or other digital platform, is there an obvious way to learn more about the church?
